Annuale Events in Venice
Some annual events celebrated every year in Venice or of general interest. The Historical marathon open to all the ages (childrens, mens, womens, adults), The carnival with all suggestive masks and exhibitions, the day of liberation days from the nazis (saint Mark Day), the spectacular fireworks in the day of Redentore, The film festival of Venice, the Historical Regatta with local competitors in particula race boats. The Venice Marathon on the October of every year.
The Venice Carnival
The Venice Carnival is the most internationally known festival celebrated in Venice, Italy, as well as being one of the oldest. There are many enterteinments and interesting performances, aside of the real parties in Venetian taste that are often hidden for the large public, which is morelike to enjoy the Venice Carnival on the road. Is a congregation of masked people, music and corncerts, exhibitions, that atracts many tourists.

Su e Zo per i Ponti
As the name suggests, "Su e zo Pe i Ponti" is a marathon race around the streets of Venice, with the contestants running up and down the bridges. This is a great event not to be missed; prepare for the thrill of watching runners try to navigate the complex bridge route! There will also be various local cuisine and souvenirs on offer.
Saint Marks day
April 25. Liberation Day and feast of Venice patron saint; in these days Italy celebrates its liberation from the Nazis at the end of 2nd World War. Public holiday. In Venice the feast day honoring the patron saint of Venice is also called "festa del Bocolo": men are presenting their partner and/or women of their family with a red rose (the "bòcolo", blossom)

The Feast of Redeemer
The first third saturday of july we to celebrate the end of the plague in Venice. Near midnight, we are then treated to a full 1hr. fireworks display. Party boats with ghetto blasters cruise the canals until late in the evening, until so many are 'parked' in the laguna it looks like an absolute parking lot!
Venice Historical Regatta
The first Sunday of September, the Historical Regatta comes back
in Venice, the most traditional among the venetian events, which took
place for the first time the 10th of January 1315 under the rule of
the doge Giovanni Soranzo.
The sumptuous event, organized in the Serenissima times to celebrate
the military victories or to honour the foreign dignitaries, today
is made up of two different parts: the historical parade and the rowing
boat races.

The Venice Film Festival
The Venice Film Festival is the most important film festival in the world. The most worldwide prestigious film festivals and is part of the Venice Biennale, a major biennial exhibition and festival for contemporary art. The festival has since every in the beginning of September on the Lido's island near Venice, Italy. You can see the Historic Film Palace (palazzo del Cinema) behind the beautiful Bech of the Excelsior.
